examples of film posters
As we can see from the examples above, the framing these designers have used to depict the films are very similar but are very good at advertising the film for example the mission impossible poster clearly shows the main character in close up view with quite a still but strong expression with dramatic low lighting. the text displayed in the bottom right hand corner is bold and contrasting against the the dark background making it one of the first things you notice as soon as you look at the image. with the added effects to the photography of this poster such as the explosion and the codes which are running across the actors face give hints and clues about the film which i also think are norms of an action thriller film like mission impossible.by contrast to this the film poster for avengers displays its main characters in action with the iconic captain America shield covering most of the image. the title is very prominent and large on this poster which really fascinates your eyes because it is so bold. as with the previous poster the visual effects are a norm with the avengers are used more in this image as to the last and because these make you look around the whole poster we notice the release date at the bottom.although when we see a film advertisement one of the first things we look for is the release date which on the avengers poster is quite small this might be because of the boldness the image that it doesn't need to be very big.
